“PEAC’s Got Talent” Raises over $30,000 Proceeds Benefit Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation

“PEAC’s Got Talent,” PEAC Health & Fitness’s Annual fundraiser to benefit the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation, raised over $30,000. The event was held at PEAC on April 11, 2015, and was an evening filled with entertainment by local performers in support of a special cause. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation’s Operation Dreamlift.

PEAC Health & Fitness Provides Fitness to The ARC Mercer Club Hero Program

PEAC Health & Fitness has partnered with The ARC Mercer to facilitate a fitness program for ARC consumers and staff. It supports The ARC Mercer’s “Club Hero” program, which gives ARC consumers “opportunities to socialize, meet new people and experience new things in a safe environment.” The program at PEAC is intended to integrate ARC consumers into community based fitness and provide continual health and wellness benefits.
PEAC Turf Welcomes NY Giant Alumnus Scott Brunner

PEACturf was pleased to recently welcome Scott Brunner, former New York Giants Quarter Back, to its Ewing facilities as preliminary plans are developing for him to provide quarterback coaching and mentoring programs at PEACturf starting in February. As a Lawrenceville High School graduate, Brunner is familiar with the surrounding communities and regional football programs, and feels PEACturf’s location offers easy access to central New Jersey as well as Bucks County.

PEAC Health and Fitness is proud to announce that its 7th annual “Runway to Runway” event raised over $25,000 to benefit the Mercer County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation. Runway to Runway Casino Royale was held at PEAC on Saturday, March 29, 2014, and all proceeds benefit the Sunshine Foundation’s annual Dreamlift. Since 2008, PEAC has raised over $175,000 for this cause.

PEAC Performance Launches Jump Start Youth Training

PEAC's Draper Takes Top Ten at Ultraman World Championships

PEAC Health & Fitness's Registered Dietitian and Personal Trainer Christopher Draper placed 8th in the 30th Annual Ultraman World Championships, held November 29 – December 1, 2013 in Hawaii. This was the fourth time Draper, of Hamilton, NJ, competed in the invitational event, which includes athletes from around the world. This year his goal was to defend his 30-39 year old age group championship and move up in the overall standings.

PEAC Health and Fitness’s KidSpace Makes Cards for U.S. Troops

As a service project in honor of Martin Luther King Day, on Monday, January 21, 2013, the kids attending KidSpace, PEAC Health and Fitness’s child care area, made cards and letters to send to U.S. Troops. Throughout the day, the kids made over 70 cards, which will be sent to soldiers overseas through the Adopt-a-Platoon program.
"I Lost it at PEAC" Weight Loss Success

PEAC Health and Fitness recently wrapped up another successful session of the I Lost it at PEAC weight loss program. I Lost it at PEAC (ILIAP) is a comprehensive, eight-week weight loss program that educates and encourages participants to make healthy changes based on proper nutrition and exercise. In 2012, 142 people participated in I Lost it at PEAC, with a total of 1,223.8 pounds lost.
PEAC's Christopher Draper Places 9th in Ultraman World Championships

PEAC Trainer and Nutritionist Christopher Draper recently placed ninth in the Ultraman World Championships, a three-day, world class endurance competition held in Hawaii from November 23 – 25, 2012. Participants come from around the world for the Ultraman and must be invited to compete. Chris, who resides in Hamilton, NJ, has competed in this event for the past three years.
PEAC Seniors Turn on Halloween Spirit Despite Hurricane

At the PEAC Health and Fitness Forever Young Open House on November 8, 2012, senior members turned on the Halloween spirit, despite continued power outages and other hardships caused by Hurricane Sandy. The Open House, including a Halloween party, was originally planned for Tuesday, October 30, but was rescheduled due to the storm.
Kayleigh Rupp Success Story

PEAC Health and Fitness is proud to feature a fitness success story about staff member Kayleigh Rupp. Kayleigh lost over 50 pounds and transformed her life from a sedentary one to a life dedicated to her health and fitness. She is a member of PEAC’s Service Desk team, a Member Services representative, and a coach for the I Lost it at PEAC weight loss program. Kayleigh holds a nursing degree from Rivier College in Nashua, NH and resides in South Brunswick, NJ.

Alex Perlin loses 100 pounds training at PEAC!

Lifelong Trenton area resident, Alex Perlin, recently celebrated a life changing accomplishment by losing more than 100 pounds at PEAC Health & Fitness! Alex joined PEAC in 1997 while in middle school, along with his parents. Although Alex frequented the club throughout middle school and high school, visiting on his breaks, during college and law school, he was overweight (and struggled with fitness). Alex is currently a lawyer in the Trenton area.
PEAC's Chris Draper competes in 2nd "Ultraman" in Hawaii

Chris Draper, Certified Trainer and Registered Dietician at PEAC Health & Fitness, recently competed in his second Ultraman World Championship, a three-day, 320 mile (515-km) annual endurance race held in Hawaii. The race is divided into three stages over three days. The first is a 6.2-mile (10-km) ocean swim, followed by a 90-mile (145-km) cross-country bike ride. Second is a 171.4-mile (276-km) bike ride, and the last is a 52.4-mile (84-km) double-marathon. Each stage must be completed within 12 hours or less. The swim portion of the first segment must be completed in 5.5 hours or less. Participants who do not reach the finish lines within the time limits are disqualified.
